Smartphones and other electronic gadgets should not be allowed in the first half of of child’s schooling life that is up to Year 6. Children should be manually taught( that is, writing on pen and paper) the multiplication table up to 12, basic arithmetic principles, spelling, grammar just like the older generation of children were taught. Also children should learn to write short essays and answers using pen and paper, (not on Microsoft Word) before they are in Year 6 or 7.
They should be encouraged to do public speaking from Year 4 onwards .Children must learn the skill of effectively working in groups in order to complete an assignment given by the teacher.A leader is picked in the group by the teacher and each person in the group is given a task which is part of the main assignment to be completed , In this way, the whole assignment can be completed through equal contribution of all members in the group,
